Abel Guillermo Moreno is a U.S. licensed attorney, and an active member of the American Immigration Law Association (AILA). He is the founding partner of Moreno & Associates PLLC, a legal practice firm exclusively devoted to the field of immigration law, and to help foreign investors pursue their immigration goals.

Abel advises investors who want to live permanently or temporarily in the US. This includes obtaining permanent residency (Green Card) under the Fifth Employment-Based Preference (EB-5) or Work Visa for treaty trader and investor (E-1, E-2 visas).

For companies bringing foreign employees to open new offices in the U.S. and requiring a visa petition that is contingent upon the company’s ability to support a managerial or executive position within a reasonable period of time (L-1 visa), he also advises on the proposed nature of the office to satisfy the government’s legal requirements.

Prior to establishing his private practice, Abel served as an international trade diplomat for a Latin American country in Geneva, Switzerland, and later in Washington D.C. He represented the interest of domestic private sector enterprises within multiple industries and fields, such as companies exporting agricultural products, knit apparel and electrical machinery.

Abel is trained in both civil and common law. He is admitted to practice in New York, and holds a Masters in Law (LL.M) in International Legal Studies from American University, Washington College of Law.
